5 Luxurious Hotels in St. Moritz

St. Moritz is anything but an ordinary place. When you hear St. Moritz, certain images come to mind: glamour and luxury, a stunning natural scenery, ski resorts and Winter Olympics, as well as numerous prestigious and unique events that take place every year, such as the White Turf horse race. Its hotels are also very special, and in this article I would like to introduce you to the most beautiful hotels in St. Moritz.

1. Badrutt's Palace Hotel

The historic Badrutt's Palace Hotel has been an icon of luxury since it opened in 1896. It offers elegant rooms and suites, a lavish spa and breathtaking views of Lake St.Moritz. Its central position provides convenient access to the town's attractions, shops and ski slopes.

The hotel boasts several dining options, including gourmet restaurants and bars. Guests can indulge in culinary delights ranging from international cuisine to traditional Swiss dishes, all prepared with the finest ingredients. I can especially recommend enjoying afternoon tea in the Grand Hall, with savory sandwiches and sweet tarts from top pastry chefs!

And did you know that famous guests such as Audrey Hepburn and Alfred Hitchcock have been guests here?

Over the years, Badrutt's Palace Hotel has been a favourite destination for celebrities, royalty and prominent figures. It has welcomed famous guests such as Charlie Chaplin and members of royal families, only to name a few.

Alongside the tea, you'll be treated to a tempting assortment of delectable treats. This typically includes freshly baked scones served with clotted cream and delicate finger sandwiches with various fillings,

2. Kulm Hotel

The Kulm Hotel has a long and prestigious history. It was founded in 1856 by Johannes Badrutt, the same visionary behind the Badrutt's Palace Hotel. The hotel has been continuously operated by the same family for six generations and is known for its timeless elegance and warm hospitality.

But not only the luxurious rooms and suites, the prime location or the culinary events contribute to the exceptional service of the Kulm Hotel. It offers first-class wellness and spa treatments on top. Just in the morning the spa is still completely empty, I really recommend this time to visit the spa. The view of the snow-capped mountains was phenomenal and relaxing in the heated outdoor pool was an exceptional and relaxing experience.

The Kulm Spa is a haven of relaxation and rejuvenation. It offers a range of wellness facilities, including indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, steam baths and a fitness center. In between sauna treatments, swimming sessions and relaxing in the whirlpool, the Kulm Hotel offers snacks such as nuts and fruit as well as drinks. Guests can indulge in a variety of treatments and therapies designed to promote well-being and balance.

The Spa at Kulm Hotel embraces the natural beauty of the Swiss Alps, providing a unique wellness experience inspired by the surrounding alpine environment.
